It is. This punk kid got inta a fight with me during the swear in. Wanted to make those stupid robot animals they gave us 'battle' or some shit. I didn't, but he wouldn't take no for an answer. I told him to fuck off and called him and that stupid tiger of his stupid and he decided he wanted to kill me over it. Damn near did it, too. I seen hair triggers before, but that's the hairiest one yet.

Shit. If he's that strong, you think he's gonna come after you again? Sounds to me like he's the type that gets pissed off real quick, but might cool down just as quick. Maybe he forgot about it by now.

[ He kind of hopes whoever it is did forget about it. Rick's not so gung ho about going on a murder spree like he used to be. ]

Ain't sure. But it's likely. Guy didn't want to 'let me get away' with insulting him. He's shit fucking nuts. That trainer set up they had said his name was Tetsuo. You ever hear of him?

[ Oh. Oh. There's a long pause on Rick's end. ]

Yeah, I know him. Shoulda probably introduced the two of you sooner...didn't think you'd run into him. He can be difficult, short-tempered, irrational, violent.

[ The smile can be heard in his voice because really, he feels like he's describing Daryl. ]

But he's good by me. Was the first imPort I could call family. Saved my life once, you know? If he knows you're one of mine, he ain't gonna do nothin'.

[The only problem with Rick saying all this was that the kid had torn up a (fake) city street and then tried to kill Daryl all for calling the kid 'stupid. Rick saying the kid was family didn't stop Daryl's gut reaction from being that something needed to be done.]

Yeah? And how's that help the people that ain't with you? He nearly killed me, Rick.

[Daryl's anger was clear in his tone. Something Rick would recognize to be Daryl feeling hurt by Rick's answer as much as it was actual rage.]

I called him stupid and he decided it was worth my life! If he's ours, then you need to get on his ass about that!
